embracing the unknown

I’m not somebody that has ever been good with change. When I was in elementary school, I would come home crying if we had a substitute teacher and I didn’t know about it in advance. I don’t think any of us are very good with change. Especially when the situation is unknown.

Over the past couple of months, Dalton and I have been looking for a new place to live, as the beautiful condo we’re in now has been sold. I won’t lie, the Vancouver rental market can definitely be a little stressful. With that said though, I did everything I could to embrace the unknown. I wrote down everything we wanted in a home and visualized what I wanted to manifest. If I’m being honest, although stressful, the thought of having a new space to decorate has been very exciting!

After over a month of looking and viewing too many condos to count we were about to sign a contract for a place we weren’t completely sold on. Right before we did, we took one more look in the building we love and found our dream spot with an amazing landlord. Talk about perfect timing!

We’re officially moving at the end of this month and I’m so excited! It’ll be the start of a new chapter and I’m learning to embrace the unknown with open arms because what do we actually know anyway?

Well actually, I take that back.. I do know exactly what dining table I want to get for the new space! LOL

Anyways, I’ll keep you guys updated and maybe even film a little new apartment tour 🙂

Wishing you all an amazing week and reminding you to embrace the unknown, it’s what keeps things exciting!

with love, alexandra
